NIKKI LEE

This is 5 year old Nikki Lee! She has had 2 strokes which have left her with respiratory issues, dependent on a feeding tube, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, profound development delay and having seizures. She has been in the loving care of her foster parents since the age of 6 months...who have been fostering medically challenged children for over 20 years.

Nikki Lee responds well to the colors red and yellow and we added some much needed storage for all her medical equipment along with some fun decorative things. She also has 3 brothers and 2 sisters in their foster family.

Her makeover was co-sponsored by high school junior Renee who had a stroke as a result of a brain AVM when she was 9 and Tri County Area Federal Credit Union. We completed their makeovers on February 6th.

DYLAN

Meet 5 year old Dylan who first started having balance issues over the Christmas holidays 2015. In January, 2016, he was diagnosed with DIPG (an inoperable brain tumor).

Dylan LOVES dinosaurs!! In early March, while Dylan and his family were away on their Make A Wish trip to Disney, we went in and made over his bedroom with lots of dinosaurs and bathroom in the Nemo theme.

Dylan's makeover was sponsored by the Team CMMD Foundation and was completed on March 5th.

BRIELLE

Brielle is a bright, beautiful, kind and spunky 5 year old little girl who is currently undergoing intensive treatment for anaplastic astrocytoma which is an aggressive form of pediatric cancer originally found in her spine in February of 2013. From February 2013 until March 2014, Brielle had undergone surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation to remove the tumor and destroy any remaining cancer cells. Brielle was cancer free until August 2014, when the cancer returned, this time in her brain.

Brielle asked for a Frozen-themed room, her younger brother Caden likes the Avengers and baseball and her little sister, Brynlee, got a butterfly/flower room.

Brielle's makeover was co-sponsored by Team CMMD and Life's Patina on April 23rd.

MIKEY

Mikey is a 3 year old boy who was diagnosed in February 2015 with Pre-B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He is currently undergoing a 3 year treatment regimen.

We were able to work on Mikey and his two brothers' room makeovers while they were away on their Make-A-Wish trip. Mikey and his older brother Justin share a room and came home on May 22nd to a new dinosaur/Pokemon/Super Mario room! Their baby brother Jonathon got a new Classic Winnie the Pooh nursery update.

Mikey's makeover was co-sponsored by Girl Scout Troop 7318 and Tri County Area Federal Credit Union.

JACK AND RYAN

Jack and Ryan are two brothers who have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy which is a degenerative muscular disease. They are unable to go up steps to their current bedroom so we are helping the family move them to a downstairs room.

The boys love Legos, Star Wars and seals. Their older sister, Katie, has autism so we gave her a beach themed room with lots of textures. Oldest sister, Alexa, loves the movie Strange Magic so her room was a garden themed room. All four children received all new furniture and we were also able to give them new flooring in the boys' room and Katie's room.

We did their makeovers on September 30/October 1.
